Nicole Cuscuna, a life-long resident of Stamford, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 26th at the age of 44. She was born in Greenwich, CT on February 29, 1968 to Ronald Florre and Virginia (Ginny) Romeo Carriera.
Nicole lived her life to the fullest and with much love for all. She was loving, caring, and a truly special person who touched the lives of so many in the community. She treasured the time she spent with her husband, children, extended family and many dear friends, and she was avery special aunt to her nieces and nephews. Her warmth and affection for family and friends knew no bounds, and her compassion was unconditional.
Nicole enjoyed snowmobiling with her family, weekends in Vermont, knitting, cooking and arts and crafts. Nicole and Rocky's home is, and will always be, a special gathering place for all. She welcomed everyone with her big smile, massive hugs and powerful voice. When she wasn't cheering on her children at one of the local ball fields, cheerleading events or dance recitals, she was volunteering her time as a board member of Stamford American Little League, coaching cheerleading for Stamford Youth Cheer, serving as a member of the Newfield Elementary School PFO, or teaching religion class at St. Gabriel's church. All the while, she found time to be a completely devoted mother, wife and dear friend to all that were blessed to know her. Whenever anyone was in need, Nicole always made herself available to help in any way she could. She touched so many lives and her passing has left a huge void in our community.
Prior to starting her family, Nicole worked as a beautician in Stamford for many years. Most recently she was working at Stamford High School. She passed away proud and excited about a new opportunity in The Stamford Public School system as a Teacher Aide.
